Dear PatLet me throw a couple of concepts at you.
So what do you do? Hmm. Now, of the last 8 years, the majority of the time was spent at university. In that time, I learnt many things. But what skills are going to help me out in this situation? Plagauism! But! If I acknowledge the source, it is not plaugaurism, just unethical. But I trained as a lawyer, so nothing is unethical if it is in the best interests of my client. And providing new and exciting content to my clients (you, the reader) is in their best interests, otherwise their life will be dull and boring. There, thats what $60,000 worth of universtiy education gets you - methods for rationalising anything (the law degree is really good for that one, I recommend it :) Where does this leave me? In the position to provide you, dear reader/client, with new and exciting content without breaching copyright restrictions and without causing too much stress for myself in having to come up with original ideas. To that end, may I present to you.... Dear Pat(1). Each week I will write a short email to the Honourable Patrick Manning, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Why? That is explained in the first letter. I will be informing him of the events of my week and my thoughts on the state of stuff. I will post each of these letters here, and hopefully, his replies. Week 1 - Thursday 18 March 2004
1. Dear Pat is based on Dear John, a weekly coloumn published in TNT Magazine. |
