It's time to get old
Well very shortly I'll be turning 30, and its funny, cause when I turned 21, I didn't really feel like I had to reflect on what I had done with my life till that point. But at 30, I feel that I really should be taking stock of what I have done with my life to this point, and what I want to do with it for the rest of it.
So, what have I acheived. Well, there are the big, obvious things:
* survived to this point with all limbs and major organs intact
* completed high school and five uni degrees
* fallen in and out and in and out and in love
* left my home town and moved to the other side of the planet
* been made redundant (not really an acheivement though)
Doesn't really seem like much to me. Maybe I'm setting a bar to high for myself, but I haven't done any of the following:
* saved someones life
* climb a seriously tall mountain
* written the Great Australian Novel
* started my own brewery
So I have a lot of work to do before 40 :)
