June 16, 2004So theres this guy who has a website...Ok, so its been a while since the last update. If I had a good excuse, I would give it. If I could be bothered lying, I am sure I could come up with a good one. But as neither are true, I won't even bother. Um, Geoffrey's life in the past fortnight. Well, went to Germany for a wedding. That was cool. Probably should write an email about that one. Add that to to-do list. Ahmmmm, drank lots of Guinness and Bulmers (cider which I discovered in Canberra, and turns out is actually Irish. Was/am very happy!) New Zealand thumped England (rugby). France thumped England (Soccer). England thumped New Zealand (cricket). Ferrari thumped everyone (F1). Germany (my adopted team for Euro 2004) drew with Nederlands. Queeensland beat NSW (league). Australia thumped Scotland (rugby). Been a pretty good couple of weeks really on the sports front. I am currently in the process of preparing for my trip up to Northern Ireland next month. For those that aren't aware, July has traditionally been one of the key flashpoint times for Unionists/Republicans in the north. After many months of reading, I am starting to get an inkling of what the issues are in the conflict, and that has just made me more intruiged. I am doing up a new section of this site specifically on this topic, will hopefully have the first stage complete and up for everyone's pleasure soon enough. Ok, should start work for the day (it is 2pm after all). Posted by geosta at June 16, 2004 12:58 PM
